Add Color Backings
to Your Wedding Invitation

Make your wedding invitation fancier and more unique by adding a backing. A backing is a colored sheet of card stock that is glued behind the wedding invitation to give the wedding invitation a small border and raised effect. Choose from any of our paper options as your backing.

Backing Assembly
Backings can come assembled or non-assembled. If you choose non-assembled, they can easily be attached to the invitation with basic glue or double sided tape. (We recommend using a glue stick verses liquid glue.)

Different ways of attaching backings
The most common way to attach backings is with glue. However, some people get more creative and use embellishments to make their wedding invitation even more unique. One way of adding embellishments is to punch one or two holes at the top of the invitation and backing. Use a fancy ribbon to tie the backing to the wedding invitation.

Backings Affect Wedding Invitation Size
If you choose to have backings for your wedding invitations, the actual wedding invitation will be printed and cut slightly smaller. The backing will be cut to the exact size of our standard wedding invitation. The two pieces together will perfectly fit in the envelopes.
